The Bio-park of Rome has a long history, initially conceived as the zoo in 1908 from an organization that wanted to use the area of the city as a display of exotic animal species for educational purposes only. Initially the zoo occupied an area of 12 hectares in the park of Villa Borghese. The first animals were on November 2, 1910 by Hamburg.
Since opening many years have passed, the Bio-park has been able to keep pace with the times and constantly renewed. Thanks to huge conventions available to Roman citizens and offers all the tourists an excellent educational experience in the green.
